If your child likes to help in the kitchen, a simple apron is practical. I have used this Linen Tales option during spills and splashes.

Build and Materials

This apron is hand-made in Lithuania. The fabric is 100% stone-washed linen. The linen is OEKO-TEX® and EUROPEAN FLAX® certified. It has an adjustable tie closure and a front pocket. Care is straightforward: machine wash at 40°C.

Fit and Comfort

The tie closure lets you adjust the fit. Two sizes are listed:

  • 3–4 years: width 53 cm, length 54 cm
  • 5–6 years: width 62 cm, length 65 cm

The front pocket sits at the front for small tools or a towel.

Use in the Real World

For baking sessions, the pocket holds a spatula or a small whisk. I keep a tea towel there too.

During meal prep, it handles the usual splashes from washing vegetables or mixing batter.

When children help set the table, the pocket is handy for napkins or cutlery.

After messy tasks, I put it in the wash at 40°C and it is ready for the next round of kitchen help.
